It looks like their may be a conflict on your site or your install may be damaged.
Did you install Event Espresso manually by uploading through SFTP or FTP?
If so, could you try a reinstall through WordPress Plugins:
Deactivate and delete Event Espresso and then download a new copy from your Event Espresso account.
Then go to WordPress admin –> Plugins –> Add New –> Upload and browse to the zip file and install and activate?
