Are you using a plugin to force SSL on specific pages, or are you trying to to force SSL across the entire site? In either case, which method is being used to do this?
In some cases, I’ve seen it where the theme is hardcoding links to assets (like images and JavaScript files) instead of using home_url.
Initially I setup SSL for the whole site and everything worked fine. Then it stopped working so I started using the plugin from EE to force SSL on certain pages. Forcing SSL on the whole site with the plugin didn’t work. With the plugin it appears that the pages being told to use SSL are using SSL. We need to have SSL across the whole site or at least have the lock icon appear. We have a lot of older users and the lock icon is how they identify the site/page as secure.
So when you initially set up SSL across the entire site, what stopped working? Have you tried other alternatives to Force SSL on the site?
