Hi there,
I’m trying to find out if EventEspresso can handle this particular scenario:

Music Classes
User pays for a certain number of classes in advance and/or
User pays each week but has reserved, say, 5pm every Tuesday
User misses a class.
They get a credit for another week, but the system tracks this.

Scenario 2
Dog training studio
User signs up for 6 sessions of Puppy Class. Puppy classes are every Tuesday at 5pm. User and Trainer need to know how many classes have been attended. There is no end date of the puppy classes.

Is there a way to track these sorts of things?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Laura,

User pays for a certain number of classes in advance and/or

That is certainly do-able. Each class would be an event, and the user can simply register for multiple events (Multiple Event Manager add on recommended)

User pays each week but has reserved, say, 5pm every Tuesday

Reserving time slots is possible but not on a recurring basis. For instance you can set up an event with time slots and even limit the capacity of the time slot (experimental feature), but the user would still need to register for multiple events to secure that time slot on each date.

User misses a class.
They get a credit for another week, but the system tracks this.

We do not have this feature.

I believe the best way to do this would be to have the user register with the site first and when logged in register for the event/s.

This will allocate that event to the website user profile. This will allow the user to see what events they have signed up to in their profiule or on the front end via a shortcode.

All events need an end date, but we have a special status called ongoing where the event doesnt end.
