So I must have installed a beta version (4.x) of Event Espresso when I was testing it out. I just purchased a business license and trying to install the version that came with teh license along with teh plugins, but get stopped with an error message. See below.

I don’t know where to look for the EE 4.x databases, Concerned that if I install a fresh copy of WordPress, I will lose everything I updated to date. (posts, Theme fixes/updates, categories menu’s etc. Can someone give advice as to how I can get this up and running?

thanks..

———–

THE DATABASE SCHEMA FOR EVENT ESPRESSO 4.x VERSIONS IS INCOMPATIBLE WITH OLDER 3.x VERSIONS.
If you really wish to downgrade and re-activate an older version of Event Espresso:

utilize a fresh install of WordPress
or…
backup your existing database first (important)
remove all existing Event Espresso 4.x tables from the database
then activate the older version of Event Espresso
To exit this error screen:
Please press the ‹ back button on your browser to return to the WordPress Plugins page.

The EE 4.x tables begin with wp_esp_, assuming that the table prefix in your wp-config.php is the standard ‘wp_’.
