New unique Ticket Id for tickets

Hi,
Is there a way to add a unique ticket ID other than the registration/attendee ID for a ticket? My client prefers to have a sequential unique ticket id for an event. Attendee ID could have been used as the ticket id but it is unique across all the events. What my client wants is to start every new event with ticket id 1 and so on.

Can this be done? Please let me know.

Hi,

Can it be done? Most probably, but it would require custom development.

My initial thoughts is to have the custom plugin hook into the attendee meta and the event meta on attendee save and increment a number. Then you could modify the ticket to pull that data in (most likely through an SQL query).
