Need help – Deposit event related

Hi,
I need to take deposit for an event and charge remaining amount later after manually checking user information.

I need some suggestions on how to achieve this –

There will be 2 events, one for deposit and second one for remaining amount. I also want admin pre approval for deposit system but also want to take payment in registration process. Now if I set default status as “Not approved”, there is no option for payment in registration process. I want user to pay after step 1 of giving registration details. Then I will approve them and send invoice for second event for remaining amount.

Hi Rubeena,

I have two ideas for handling partial payments or deposits + final payment in Event Espresso 4.

This process is not completely automated but it is possible to do in the current version of Event Espresso 4.

Ok. How to force payment options in event which requires admin pre approval? (Not approved status)

Hi, if you change the registration default status to not approved, then you would need to approve the registration(s) before they will be allowed to pay.

That will not work for me. but is it possible to change thank you page and approval email per event basis?

Hi,

The thank you page cannot be modified on a per event basis (at least, not without some sort of custom coding). The messages (emails) definitely can be modified on a per event basis.

Edit the event, scroll down to the notifications section at the bottom, and you can set custom messages for each message type.

Thanks for the information. So I cannot change thank you page content, How to change status names? ex. I want text “Awaiting consultation” instead of “Approved”? I tried with custom function but it does not work for status.

Hi,

I haven’t checked, but you should be able to change that by using the language files to “translate” the wording: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-change-wording-with-poedit/
