We have enabled multiple event registrations but if our events have different question groups only the question groups for the first event appear to show during the registration page. The second event in the cart is listed but it says no additional information is required even though it needs information filled in for different questions. We have a couple of test events listed at the moment so you can see the problem: http://www.mggs.org/online-bookings |
Hi Daniel, I’m not seeing any events on that page. Can you please make sure the events are published? |

Hi Seth, There are now some events listed on the page. Many thanks, Daniel |
Hi Daniel, You can make the questions for other events appear by going to edit each event, and check the applicable checkboxes in the box labeled “Questions for Additional Registrants”. Then you update each event by clicking on the Update button. |

Hi Josh, So I have to also tick the questions for additional registrants if I want the questions to show up when booking multiple events even though there is only 1 registrant booking multiple events? |
Yes. With group registration using MER there is still only a single ‘Primary Registrant’, that is the registration for the first ticket added to the cart not for each event. So in order to collect information for each attendee you need to collect registration questions for additional registrations, if you do not then the primary registrants answers will be used for all of the registrations made within the group. |

Hi, I have a further problem with the MER add-on. When we export the list of attendees for either all events or an individual event it doesn’t show all of the registrants details if they purchased multiple events. It appears that the answers they give to all of the questions are only being stored for the first event that was book and questions for all other events are blank. This is a real problem for us so I would appreciate if there was a way to work around or fix this. Many thanks, |
Hi there, So to confirm do you only require information from the primary registration or have you enable the question groups for all additional registrations? If only for primary is that the same for all of your events? |

Hi, We have several events that all ask the same set of questions. When someone adds several events to the cart they only get asked the questions once (since they are the same for all events). My understanding from an earlier comment on this post was that if no additional questions are asked then the first registrants responses are used for all of the events, however, when we export a spreadsheet with a list of attendees for events only the registrants details for the first event are populated. For all of the other events the attendee registered for we can see the name and email address but not the answers that were given in the second question group. Many thanks, |
My Apologies, that’s my fault as I wasn’t clear enough on what happens with the registrations. What happens when you have registration set up to only require the Primary Registrants details is all of the additional registrations are assigned to the ‘EE contact’ that is generated from the Primary Registrant. So in effect EE uses the First Name, Last Name and Email address from the Primary registrant for all registrations, which just means that the registrations are all linked to the same contact. You don’t have questions asked for each registration, so it won’t store the custom questions from the primary for all of the registrations. It might be possible to repeat the ‘Primary Registrants’ questions for all of the registrations in a group in the CSV (I’ll check with our developers if this can be done) however its important to note that this will only work if ALL of your events are setup not to require questions for additional registrants (as the CSV will ignore those and use the primary registrants) |
