Hi guys – Grid View Template documentation states this is not compatible with Multiple Event Registration add-on. Can you please let us know if this is in the works for being upgraded and, if so, what sort of timescale? Pictures would be a great boost for our class engagement but our clients usually want to sign up for more than 1 at a time : ) we would love to have the grid view as an option.

Thanks.

Hi Gail,

You can actually use the grid view, it just does not have the capability to add items to the cart. In other words, if the user clicks through from the page with the grid view of events, they’ll be able to add that event to the cart.

We currently do not have plans to add ticket selector functionality to the grid, it wasn’t designed or intended to contain those.

That said, if you have a PHP developer on your team or if you contact one of the developers at codeable.io, the grid template can be customized to include new features to your specifications.

Thanks Josh, if I understand you we can use the grid, the images link to an individual event (class) from which a user can then add to cart, they would then have to return to the page with the grid to pick another class and then add that to the cart from that individual page. All that can’t happen is to add events to the cart directly from the images in the grid view?

Thanks dear.

That’s correct, you can use the grid view add-on to display events, and the events can be added to the cart on their respective event pages.

Josh – I must confess to being somewhat confused and now wonder if we have set things up incorrectly, or at least inefficiently for our website visitors.

https://www.whitefoxbeads.com/class-listing/

We have a Calendar view with the the tool tips and we have a table view with a link to “Register” – all these links on these two pages take a person to the individual class(event) page where they can see more details and have to click a button to add it to their cart. I don’t understand what is different with the grid view and why the documentation says it’s not compatible with multi event reg. Wondering if you can shed light on my fuzzy thinking. J

Hi,

I’m going to remove the note from the Grid Template documentation, because like I mentioned before, you can use the Grid View plugin on the same site that uses Multi Event Registration.

I’m sorry for the confusion.

Thanks dear, I appreciate your sticking with us while we work through all this. This is a great plugin and just what we want, we just always assume the problems are us. LOL.

Keep up the good work : ))))))
