Hi Guys, We are moving EE from one site to another. I have moved everything over. Currently testing everything, once ready, we’ll move license keys and reset domain. Can you detail all the functionality that will not work without the license? Couple of issues, like no email received after free ticket? Just trying to see what needs redoing, before moving the license. Thanks. |
HI Ben, The license key doesn’t affect any functionality. The plugin will function as-is without a license key. But you will not receive support from our staff or receive automatic updates without a license key. Does that make sense? We’re not trying to pull a Microsoft or Adobe on you… 🙂 |

Thanks Garth! Makes sense to me. |

Hi Garth, In EE, have you removed the warning on the Payment Overview page, ‘Your registration is not complete until payment is received.’? Thanks. |

Hi Ben, The screenshot you posted is of a different page. The Payment Overview page still has: |

Thanks Josh, Well that explains why then. Resolved now, by making the event not free. Thanks. |

Hi Ben, Have you checked spam (basic I know but you never know)? Are other emails from the site going out (you can use a free plugin called Check Email to test this)? If you resend the registration details email from the admin, does that go out? |

Hi Dean, Thanks for plugin test. Still no emails being sent out, from the check email plugin, or the registration details. Nothing in spam too. Do you guys recommend an alternative email tool to work with EE? Thanks. |
Hi Ben, If the emails aren’t getting sent out by the check email plugin, then it’s not an Event Espresso issue. There are alternative means of sending email via WordPress (they usually bypass the mailserver). Here’s a link to our documentation where we recommend a few: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/postmark-app-mandrill-transactional-email-handling-services/ You can also route email through a gmail account by using the WP Mail SMTP plugin |
