Month shows weird in month view of calendar

I had the problem where the month was not showing on the calendar, both on the sidebar widget and the page. After adding the css I found in the forum, the sidebar widget on the home page shows the month name correctly, but on the page calendar, instead of the actual month it displays something like “5ona12” for the month of May. Hi Kim,

2 things to check here:

1) The Calendar Settings. I doubt it’s this but let’s rule it out. Can you make sure the calendar settings (formatting section) looks something like this http://take.ms/w1Aul

2) You have a jQuery error http://take.ms/KhzMg. Now this could be causing the calendar to misbehave. The script is something to do with image pre-loading but I cannot tell if it is from a plugin or the theme as it is embedded in the footer area.

Fixing that may or may not resolve the calendar issue, but it will certainly allow a level playing field for further troubleshooting.
