Hi I purchased the plugin add to my event espresso on my website and it seemed to be going ok until I checked on a cell phone and the events do not show (I have a full year up) and it does show on a desktop…. help… website is CellBotics.com I have the Event View down at the very bottom of the page, so if you scroll completely down to there is no more to go, you will see it on the home page and says Under Construction above it |
Hi, The mobile view hides the text but events do show as colored boxes. If you’d like, you could either a) upload a featured image for your events (which will display on the calendar -or- b) you can add some CSS to your site to display an icon for each event. Here’s some example CSS that will add the icons:
If you’re not sure where to add the CSS, a good place to add it is you go to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS. |

That’s great thank you very much! 1 thing is I didn’t see where to assign colors to the event and no colors are showing… how do I assign an event a color on the calendar |
You go to the settings page on Event Espresso > Calendar. Also, if you use event categories, each event category can be assigned a background color + text color and the calendar can be set (on its settings page) to use the event category colors. |

I went there and theres no color options |

I found it, sorry |

ok sorry 1 more thing lol the colors show on the mobile good but on desktop the colors do not show different for each event.. is there a way to make the event colors show on desktop too? |
Hi, The colors will only be different for each event if each event is assigned to a different category, and each category has a different color scheme set. |
|
|
Yes I have them all in different categories and those in different colors but they are all showing in 1 color on a computer (not on mobile, the show proper on mobile) |
You could check your Calendar settings. You go Event Espresso > Calendar and under the heading “Theme Settings” there’s a setting “Enable CSS for Categories”. You’ll set that to Yes, then click Save. |

|
It is yes, I can share a screen shot some how here? |
I recommend https://snipboard.io/ That said, if you intend to share a screenshot of the setting that’s not going to help much. Instead, can you double check your categories and events to make sure they’re assigned to the intended category? |

they are assigned, ive been using categories for a very long time and my main 3 I just assigned colors and they show on mobile but not on the desktop… it shows the set color under the Event Background Color not the Category … my events have multiple categories, will that effect it? I only picked color for the main 3 but some vents have 2 categories but I did not assign those a color, just the main categories. |
Yes. The color from only one of the categories will be used. Since some of the categories don’t have colors, that’s why some events don’t have colors. |
