Hello there, Our website is using Moneris with EventEspresso but somehow transactions are always showing as “Pending” even when they are successfully processed by Moneris. Your instructions for Moneris (https://eventespresso.com/wiki/payment-settings-ee3/#Moneris) doesn’t specify what “Response Method” should be used under the main “Hosted Paypage Configuration” page on Moneris.com (you only explain how to configure the “Referring URL” under the “Security Features” section) even though one of them is required. These are the four options given by Moneris for the Response Method: Also, under these options we need to enter the Approved URL and Declined URL. Could you please indicate us what page should go under these? Thanks very much. |
Hello, Please select the second option. — |

Hi Lorenzo, Thanks for your help. The screen capture you linked to is for the the “Security Features” section, not for the main “Hosted Paypage Configuration” page. There is not documentation on eventespresso.com for that. Please note that the screen capture options are quite different than those I listed above. In addition, I believe you forgot to tell us the Approved URL and Declined URL for “Hosted Paypage Configuration” page. Could you please let us know? Thanks. |
Hi Brent, Moneris’s Response Method -> Response method (not to be confused with the Transaction Verification -> Response method) should be set to “Send to your server as a POST” The Approved and Declined URLs can be set to the page that has the [ESPRESSO_PAYMENTS] shortcode (usually the Thank-you page, but will depend on your permalinks set up and whether you changed the defaults) |

Thanks very much, Josh. We made the change to the Moneris’s Response Method and the Approved and Declined URLs as you suggested but all transactions for each attendee are still showing as “Pending”. Any idea? Thanks very much. |
Brent, Can you let us know which URLs you have included on the Security Features page under “Referring URLs”? |
|
|
Hi Josh, Sure, can you please first make this forum post private please? Thanks. |
Hi Brent, The forum software doesn’t have the option you are requesting. The page slugs will do in this case. We know the site’s URL. |

Hi Josh, Thanks for letting us know. The URL slug of the page with the [ESPRESSO_PAYMENTS] shortcode is {domain.com}/thank-you-2 Thanks for all your help today. |
That’s good information, but I’m afraid it’s not the information I was asking for. There’s a referring URL in the Moneris config tool under Security Features where you basically need to add all the URLs that will referring to Moneris. We recommend adding all the Event Espresso pages and the site’s home URL to the list. After you add one, it will give you the option to add more URLs. Here is a screenshot of what my Security Features set up looks like. |

Hi Josh, I apologize I misread your answer. The URLs we added under Security Features are as follow: – {domain.com}/event-registration Thanks again. |
You’ll need to add domain.com’s home page to that list. |
|
|
Thanks Josh. We did it and it’s still showing as “Pending”. Any settings we should change? Thanks. |
I don’t know what settings you have now, so I’m unsure what if anything should be changed. Have you set the Response/Receipt Field Configuration screen? Here’s a screenshot of mine. This is the one other configuration screen that the Moneris hosted page config tool that needs to be set up to use with Event Espresso. One other thing that might help to check is the moneris_hpp.log file in /wp-content/uploads/espresso/logs. There should be an entry for each transaction along with a response code. |
