Hi guys,

Although I contacted you earlier on this matter – https://eventespresso.com/topic/app-keeps-on-fetching-events-and-seems-stuck-in-a-loop/ – and have of course again tried all the solutions provided earlier, I still have not been able to connect to the site using the app. One thing I did find out concerning last time is the siteid=2 in stead of 1. Tried with this changed, but didn’t work either. Also checked the new documents on using API (good that it’s updated) but unfortunately no solutions..

Here’s my system status report:

My Apache log file shows these lines:
82.173.153.14 – – [22/Apr/2013:03:44:30 +0200] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 200 4640 "-" "Mozilla/5.0"
82.173.153.14 – – [22/Apr/2013:03:44:31 +0200] "POST /xmlrpc.php HTTP/1.1" 200 2150 "-" "wp-android/1.4.0"
82.173.153.14 – – [22/Apr/2013:03:44:32 +0200] "POST /espresso-services/events.php HTTP/1.1" 500 548 "-" "Apache-HttpClient/UNAVAILABLE (java 1.4)"

Maybe this is helpful? My only clue is that events.php starts a process that is unable to complete, hence UNAVAILABLE. Any more?

Hi there,

The old API was never intended to be run on multisite. In some cases people were able to get it to work by making modifications. Have you tried the new API that is available from the pre-release channel (you can opt-in to the pre-release channel from your account page). Please note: currently the new API is compatible with the Event Espresso HD iOS app version 1.5.

Hi Josh, what modifications should I make to get it working? You probably have some known issues that maybe coinciding with the solutions discussed.

I have no iPad to set up a test environment for the new API. I’ll try to get hold of one in some days and get that back here. In the meanwhile I would like to get it working with the current API.

The new API works with any current version’s iOS device.

The older API isn’t supported on multisite.

I do not have any iOS device to use yet. When will you have an Android version ready? What can I do to get this working asap besides the obvious getting an iOS device or in case this doesn’t work?

Hi there,

There are no plans currently for an Android app that uses the new API.

When you were reporting issues with the ticketing app back in February Seth had asked you about how the site was set up as https and http were redirecting to two different websites. Is the site still set up this way?
