I had to move away from wordpress cron because of this error:
There was a problem spawning a call to the WP-Cron system on your site. This means WP-Cron events on your site may not work. The problem was:
cURL error 35: error:14077438:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:tlsv1 alert internal error
You can contact your host about that error and ask whether they can resolve the server error. If they can’t, another option is you go to Event Espresso > Messages > Settings and set the option for messages to send on the same request.
Ok, the host is just not able to resolve the issue with SSL error. They have suggested that I use the server cron. Unfortunately, this does not seem to be working because I have ended up with over 150 Event Espresso cron jobs.
I have now enabled the option “send on the same request”. My question now is, how can I delete all the EE cron jobs?
and delete any message queue crons from the WP Crontrol page
The messages Activity page also lets you delete messages.
