“when sending “batch messages” to selected registrants thru EE, SOME registrants have the message end in “spam” while, when I produce a “CSV Report” and copy the email addresses and re-send the message thru g-mail none go to “recipients spam” – any thoughts?
You may be able to avoid this by using a transactional email service instead of your web server’s built in email server. You’ll find more information about using a transactional email service here:
There are lots of reasons for emails being flagged as spam but almost all of them are outside of EE’s control. EE doesn’t actually send email itself, what it does is generate the email and pass it over to your mail server (as does WordPress with its emails).
That means that once EE generates the email and passes it over to your mail server it has no control over what happens from there.
Is your site also set up to send the emails through your Gmail account or are you using your host’s mail server?
Generally, for email issues we recommend switching to a transactional email service and have some listed here:
If its an issue with the mail server you are using the above show prevent the emails from hitting spam as your site is then set up to pass your emails to whichever service you chose and uses their mail server to send the emails.
Thanks for the input…
Let me do some homework here. If I still have issues I will be in touch.
