Membership Required?

When someone attempts to register, it generates an error after selecting the quantity stating that the number of tickets has not been selected. Per the documentation, I cleared the cache and it worked. However, when I log out of the admin panel, it does not work. It seems that the person registering has to be a registered memeber of my site. I do not intend on requiring people to sign up with my site to register for an upcoming event.

Anyone have any ideas?

Hi Paul,

Are you using any form of caching plugin or are you using a host that caches automatically, such as WPEngine?

Yes, using wpEngine

Seems really weird that it works flawlessly when I am logged into the site but crashes when not logged in… is there something tied to the member profile in the registration process?

Hi,

The caching that WP Engine do automatically for you is causing the issue here.

You’ll want to ask WP Engine to setup no-cache rules for your Event Espresso pages.

This page explains the issue a bit:

http://wpengine.com/support/wpengine-ecommerce/

The critical pages should not be cached. On a default install the Critical pages would be:

/events/
/registration-checkout/
/transactions/
/thank-you/
/registration-cancelled/
