Hi,

I sometimes need to email a link to the page on my website related to the payment for a given attendee, i.e. where the attendee can choose to pay via PayPal or invoice. I can’t see where I can find this link though in my admin pages.

Hi Nick, if a registrant/attendee owes funds for a registration, then you can go to that registration within the WP dashboard and click on the send payment reminder link.

You won’t be able to copy and paste that link from your end since it is unique for each registrant that owes money.

In EE3 there was a way of doing of this. In EE4 I only appear to be able to send a link to the invoice, not to the payment page on the front end the site where the user selects how they want to pay.

I sometimes get people who book others on to events and so don’t get an email with the payment links in order to process payments at a later date, so I need to be able to manually email them their personal link to their payment page.

Hi,

You would have to manually create the URL:

http://YOURWEBSITE.COM/registration-checkout/?e_reg_url_link=1-XXXXXXXXXX&step=payment_options&revisit=1

Where XXXXXXXXXX = the transaction ID.

OK, I can do this once or twice, but as this is a scenario that I anticipate happening a fair amount it would be helpful to have a link to the payment page on the options for each transaction in the transactions view. I’m pretty sure this was an option in EE3. Please can I put in a vote for this.

Hi Nick,

I just want to make sure I’m following whats happened.

Are these users registered as part of a group registration and you want each individual users to pay separately?

Where can I find the Registration ID? Also, my default slug for the Registration pages is /registration/, so I am presuming I should use this instead of /registration-checkout/.

No, there’s a group registration, but the person handling the payments isn’t one of the people registered. She doesn’t pay right away, so needs a way of accessing the payment page at a later date. As she hasn’t received a registration pending email with a link to pay on the website, she can’t make the payment. So I need a way of manually sending the link to her to pay for the whole group.

I have realised that I can find the transaction ID by clicking the link to view the invoice online and copying it from there, but it would be easier if there was another way. Also I have realised that, for my purposes, the link needs to be in the form:

http://YOURWEBSITE.COM/registration/?e_reg_url_link=1-XXXXXXXXXX&step=payment_options

The ‘registration’ part is because of my different default slug, and removing the &revisit=1 was necessary as well to get to right page.

The quickest way to grab this URL is through the Receipt.

Go to Event Espresso -> Transactions.

Find the transaction for that registration and click to view the Receipt – http://take.ms/8agIu

Open that up and scroll to the bottom – http://take.ms/QYGtv

Copy that link and send that.

Also if the user has access to the Invoice link they can use the ‘switch’ button to switch to the Receipt and click the link themselves – http://take.ms/NEeZb

Does that help?

Oh dear – I don’t think it’s my day today. I think your method should give me what I want, but I am getting the following error:

Go to your /registration-cancelled/ page to clear your session and retest.

If you have changed this page you can find it within Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Critical Pages.

Click the view link under the Cancel/Return Page – http://take.ms/qns5A

You are most welcome, Nick.

Just to note when you open up the payment options page you start a session, normally this is closed when you select a payment method, however if your jumping from one registrations payment page to another EE doesn’t know which session is which and it throws the error you saw.

Opening up the registration-cancelled page closes your session, so if you notice that error appearing often that’s why, simply close your session and try again.
