I recently purchased the mailchimp plugin. I’ve created a new API key in mailchimp. I’ve added the key to the E.E. plugin and selected “subscriber submits information” although intimately I want it when the registration is completed. I’ve manually imported the registrations into mailchimp to have the list updated but new registrations are not automatically being added. The event has my list displayed and I’ve mapped a few of the fields. I am not using any groups. I’m running 4.9.45.p and mailchimp plugin 2.3.5.p. Thanks |

Hi there, What do you have set for double opt in? It can sometimes take a while for the opt in email to arrive from MailChimp. If you go to MailChimp -> Account -> Extras -> API Keys then scroll right down to the bottom you’ll find a log of your API calls there. Do you see ‘subscribe’ calls? If so do they have a red X shown in line with them? View the API log, then register onto the event on another tab and check the log again, can you see a subscribe call there now? |

This is what my log looks like… 2017-08-03 12:49:18 GMT (Check) nope X.X.X.X lists/subscribe json 0.191s PHP-MCAPI/2.0 2.0 n/a So there is a check for list/subscribe but there is also a X earlier saying that the list does not exist but obviously it does exist as the API pulled the list and I was able to select it. Thanks |

Skip double opt-in emails is selected. |

Hmm ok, the List_DoesNotExist error doesn’t help as it doesn’t give any details of the request (as with all of MailChimp’s API logging). Did the above subscribe call not update your list to include the user? Also to clarify, you mentioned you imported the registrations into MailChimp, are you trying to update those records or subscribing new users? We made need to enable full logging on your site to view what is happening with the API calls but I just want to confirm whats happening. |

It did not update the list. I am trying to subscribe new users not update existing ones. How do I enable full logging? Thanks |

I turned on logging as described in https://eventespresso.com/features/full-logging-remote-logging/ I created a new registration and it worked. I don’t understand why unless it was a cacheing issue or something. I had about 28 registrations from the addition of the plugin. Mailchimp has added 13 registrations as the source “API – Generic” I know I wasn’t crazy but it is working now. I will update this thread again with logs if I have more issues going forward. |

Please do not post the logs here. Instead you can send them to support [at] eventespresso.com. |
