Hey Folks,

The site is http://www.freetorun.net.

I noticed a lack of new additions to mailchimp even though dozens of folks have signed up for running courses recently.
I just did a test signup my self, and it does not error. BUT, it does not add the person to the list.

I just double checked the API key. All is good there.
I am on Version 1.0.4 with the latest EE.

Also, is there a way to now export all the folks who signed up recently so that I can import them in mailchimp?

Thanks

Hi,

The mailchimp addon does not auto add people to your mailing list due to mailchimp settings. By default mailchimp will send out a confirmation email to the user and they must click that to then be added.

You should have received that email too, did you check your spam folder?

You can remove this feature via your mailchimp settings.

Hey Dean,
No, there was not an email generated by mailchimp.
And the person would be added to the database in mailchimp. yes-no?

Here what your software offers:

MailChimp List Integration

The following information will be sent to the selected MailChimp list for future communications

Registrant’s First Name
Registrant’s Last Name
Registrant’s Email Address

I have to admit that under Mailchimp List Integration there was no list selected. I have corrected that and tested it again. Still no email from mailchimp.

As for the “settings”, I do not see where those are.
Thanks for the quick response.

Hi there,

When you go to edit one of your events, is there a MailChimp list selected in the box labeled: “MailChimp List Integration” ?

Yes. I mentioned that in the last post.

Hi,

I registered for one of your events and received the Mailchimp sign up email in seconds. http://d.pr/i/EvlT

As for the “settings”, I do not see where those are.

In your mailchimp account, but they dont make it easy to find as they really dont want you to turn off the double opt in system.

OK- Dean, you are not making me look good here. HAHA.
Well, it is good to know. I wonder why my test did not generate that email.

Is the a way to look at how many people are in my EE database from all the signups, so I can compare that to the mailchimp and see if there is a huge difference? They are in a SQL database on my site correct?
How do I view that list?

Hi,

Sorry, didnt mean to make you look bad, was more hoping that it had got resolved!

Yes all the attendees are in the database. You can look in the Attendee Overview (go to Event Overview and their is an “All Attendees” link near the top).

If you need to check the actual database you can download a plugin called Adminer which allows you to see the database from inside WordPress or use your PHP MyAdmin or similar service provided by your host.

The table you will need to examine is _events_attendee ( = your database prefix as these should be unique)
