We are having an issue where the link text in a message for “view your registration, download your invoice and make a payment” which is using the [PAYMENT_URL] shortcode goes to an error page. Is this part of the security of the registration in that only the actual registrant can use the link?? We so far have not had any registrants tell us the link doesn’t work but it certainly doesn’t work if we open their registration messages and try clicking on the link ourselves.
Those links in the email try to start a session each time as they are intended for the end user, so when you click on one it opens a session and that first link will usually work.
Then when you open another link, if you have a session open EE checks your current sessions and compares it with the new one your trying to create, if they don’t match you’ll get an error.
So, try visiting the /registration-cancelled/ page on your site and opening the link, does it work?
Then revisit the registration-cancelled page again and open another link, does it now work?
