Hey guys…

Still having license issues. See original thread here .. https://eventespresso.com/topic/license-issues/.

DEAN … I’ve double & triple checked that the key is entered correctly on the site, but for some reason our EE account still says the key is not activated on any site. FYI our site is http://heartforathletes.org.

Hi Bryan,

Could you try the new support license key ending in 43:

Nope. I gave it half an hour, but it did not take. I did have a caching plugin loaded on the site (W3 Total Cache) that I thought might have been interfering, but I disabled it before trying this new license. Still nothing.

Hi, the site isn’t appearing as connected to the new support license.

Would you happen to have a security plugin running? I’m wondering if something is preventing the communication to the update system.

If so, please send them via https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

Hi Bryan, I sent you an email and I’ll also post the cause of the issue here.

The support license that is on the account is for different software than is what is running on the site.

For example, if you are running Event Espresso 3, then you would need one of the support licenses for Event Espresso 3 for the updates to work.

Thanks and have a good weekend.

Hey Lorenzo – That’s weird. Why wouldn’t you guys use the same license structure (since purchase of a license covers use of EE3 or EE4)? Yes we are running EE3 because at the time of install EE4 wasn’t ready for prime time, so we switched. Gf you can make the license for EE3 (per your email) that’d be great. – Bryan

Hi, I’ve updated your account to Event Espresso 3.

An account that has a support license for Event Espresso 3 also has access to Event Espresso 4. We do that to offer an upgrade path to Event Espresso 4.

Thanks

Lorenzo
