Hi
I’ve noticed that event from last year are not kept and will need this for auditing and arts funding records. How can you set EE to keep all past event from the past few years so that the calendar is always populated for people needing to browse quickly on our site?

Hi Andrew,
Event Espresso doesn’t delete your old events. They continue to be stored in your sites database.
For the calendar, you can add a parameter to the shortcode and it will display past events. e.g.
[ESPRESSO_CALENDAR show_expired=true]

I have done this and added this shortcode but still see nothing here in Dec 2016:

We would like to keep old events still accessible.

Do you actually have events from 2016 entered in the admin side on the event overview page? Are they published?
