Hi there,
Just testing registration and I can get the invoice window fine.
When I go to PDF it’s blank.
Sometimes I get critical error on the site
I have screenshots of everything. I can send them in an email for you.

Hi there,
You will need to switch the PHP version in use on your site down to PHP7 (7.4.29 is my recommendation) as the DOMPDF library we use to generate the PDF’s is not currently PHP8 compatible.
If you host does not provide a section you can use to select the PHP version you’ll need to open a ticket with them to change it.

Thanks Tony, I’ll downgrade php. When will it be PHP 8 Compatible? And can you tell me if this is being actively developed or just patched as needed?

I can’t give you an ETA on when EE4 will be fully PHP8 compatible currently.

I’m not sure what you mean here, all new code moving forward will be PHP8 compatible but we have a massive codebase with Event Espresso 4 and we are working through it to make sure it’s compatible.
EE4 is under active development and not just receiving security fixes if that is what you are asking?

Last time I checked (which tbh has been a little) we were around half a million lines of code for the EE4 core repo, then the add-ons and various other bits of tooling we have for EE 🙂

Just to clarify for anyone, Event Espresso 3 is currently ‘grandfathered’ and that version of Event Espresso is only receiving security fixes.
Event Espresso 4 is the current version and we don’t have any plans to stop development on that version at this time 🙂
