Is there a straight forward way of creating sub events for a main event like workshops for a conference? I also need a way to limit the space available to sub events.

Thanks,
Jesse

Hi Ron,

Currently there is no default way to do that. We suggest to use multiple events one for the main event and one for sub events.

I would like this to take place in one transaction and people should be able to attend any and all sub events. How is this possible with what you describe? How do I go about setting all of that up? I have the Multiple Events Module, but I do not see how to set this up nor how to relate the “sub events” to the main event.

Hi Ron,

Is something like this what you’re looking for?

Actually I wasnt looking for anything to do with ticketing. I was looking for a single way to have people register for a main event and then sub events.

But know that you have brought up ticketing I really need a way to bulk print all tickets of attendees at once. Anyway I could do this?

Actually, if you look at that doc, particularly the ESPRESSO_CART_LINK shortcode with multiple event IDs in step one, it should do what you want. Alternately, you can have a separate ESPRESSO_CART_LINK shortcode for each available event you want attendees to add to their registration. You don’t need to set it up exactly the same as that doc, @garth was just giving an example of one specific use case that related to what you are trying to do.

Not yet. This is something we have been trying to work on for a long time now. When we have built a solution it will be added to the ticketing plugin.

Ok Thanks

Should the registrant have the link to download/print their tickets in their confirmation email? I see the code that’s there, but apparently I don’t have the Custom Ticket add on? is this Ticketing v2.0.9 because that’s what I have installed…

Nevermind on the last question…I figured it out.

Another problem though: getting this error message:

Warning: file_put_contents(/home/southcen/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/gateways/atos/default/pathfile) [function.file-put-contents]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/southcen/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/gateways/atos/settings.php on line 117

Hi Ron,

IT looks like an issue we have been dealing with here. Take a look at Josh’s response on this thread, though it is a different gateway it should work for you.
