I’m making this post / tutorial because it’s too time consuming to figure this out on your own and the directions I found were far too vague and complex.

Here’s the quick and simple way in WordPress 4:

1. Go to Plugins > Editor

2. In the drop down box on the top right, locate Event Espresso – Ticketing and select it. Click the Select button.

3. Underneath the select button, locate the “espresso-ticketing/templates/index.php” file and click on it.

4. Scroll to the bottom. A few lines up you will find:

<div class=”footer”><?php echo sprintf( __( ‘Powered by the Event Espresso Ticketing System for WordPress’, ‘event_espresso’ ) , ‘https://eventespresso.com&#8217; ); ?></div>

5. REMOVE THIS COMPLETELY and click Update File.

Done! I hope this helps and saves you time.

~Matt

P.S. The only helpful thing I found on the forum was this, written by Josh: “The Powered by line of code is in the index.php ticket template on line 82.”
