How to Prevent issued tickets from checking in

I am administering an event. We created two types of tickets; the first allows for access into the event. The second allows the purchaser to have access to a recording of the event.

We will be using bar-code scanners to register attendees. I just realized that the system sent tickets to each of these registrants. Now, I’m concerned that some of those registrants will attempt to gain access to the event using the tickets intended only for audio recordings.

I’m sure I can train my people to look out for the cheaper tickets intended for the recordings, but it would make the registration process much faster if I could somehow change the tickets in the system to never be allowed to be scanned.

Is there a way to accomplish this?

Hi,

The only way I can think of achieving this would be to set the registrations with that ticket type to Pending Payment or Not Approved.

This isn’t ideal, but I cannot see any other ways currently. I’ll raise a ticket to see if we can allow the template files to be modified and/or some hooks/filters added in future versions of the EE4 barcode scanner as this will allow more flexibility such as adding a function to bring up a warning if a certain ticket is scanned.
