Any chance you have such code referenced somewhere so I could easily implement it into my registration process?

Note, EE does not officially support this and the snippet is a workaround which has no gone through any official testing by the support team so be sure to fully test it works how you are expecting. If it fails and you request personal info for your users they will be unable to proceed past the registration info step (as the email address field will be hidden but still required).
