Hi Team EventEspresso,

I’ve configured an event using EE4 to allow the purchase of multiple tickets. I have two questions regarding this functionality…

First Question… where do I turn on the setting so a purchaser can fill in attendee data after the 1st attendee? All attendee fields are inaccessible after the first attendee ticket. Right now, there’s a message that states, “This ticket type does not require any information for additional attendees…” for every ticket beyond the first.

Second Question… As an administrator, how do I go back and update attendee names after a group of tickets have been purchased? Right now, the primary attendee name is on every ticket associated for a particular group. We need to update the group with specific names for seating purposes.

Thanks,

Peter

Hi Peter,

First Question… where do I turn on the setting so a purchaser can fill in attendee data after the 1st attendee?

Within the event editor in the sidebar you’ll find the ‘Questions for Additional Registrants’ section – http://take.ms/1CBvc

If you enable at least ‘Personal Information’ within that section the additional registration will be required to provide that information.

Second Question… As an administrator, how do I go back and update attendee names after a group of tickets have been purchased?

If you don’t require any additional information for additional registrants then all of the registrations will be assigned to the primary registration contact. If you request custom questions for the additional registrations (using the method above) you can then edit each individual registrant from within the registration.

Hi Tony,

Thank you for your response. In regards to my second question, I’m still unsure how to update attendee names after a block of tickets has been purchased. The situation is that we’re hosting a corporate event in Silicon Valley and companies will be purchasing blocks of 10 to 50 tickets each. In the past, the event sells out within 4 hours so the company representatives (usually an Executive Admin) purchasing the tickets really don’t have time take an internal poll as to who’ll be attending. They just let us know after the purchase. The event will have assigned seating (sales reps and guests at one table, VIPs and C-level execs at another, etc…). So, we have the need to make adjustments to the attendee names within a group after the purchase. How do I do this within EE4?

Thanks, Peter

Hi Peter,

It depends on how the information is being collected (e.g. primary registrant, primary registrant + additional registration questions, etc.). I shared an overview of the options here:

Please take a look and let us know if you have any questions.

Happy new year!

Lorenzo
