I can’t find a good description of my options for how to check in attendees. Do they get a ticket? Do we just print a list of attendees? Is there a way to check in via laptop or tablet (mark off people who check in?) I’m using EE4.4.6, WordPress 4.0.1. Your documentation is focused on specific tech details of how to install the program but I cannot find a good overview of the process of registering guests, communicating with them, and checking them in. I would like to get a big picture of the best practices and what Event Espresso can help me with. A flow chart would be nice. |
Hi Vauna, Here is some feedback on your concerns. Manual Registrations Registrations occur through the front-end of your site. They can also be manually registered by going to Event Espresso –> Events. Then hover over the name of an event and click on Registrations. On the next screen, click on Add New Registration which appears as a button at the top of the page. Contacting Attendees/Registrants There is a batch email feature that can be found by going to Event Espresso –> Events. Then hover over the name of an event and click on Registrations. On the next screen, you’ll see a list of registrants. You can select all registrants or some and then scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the button to email the registrants. A window will then appear and you could then enter your message and click send. Check-in with Event Espresso Go to Event Espresso –> Registrations. Then click on the Event Check-in tab. Click on the dropdown menu and locate your event. Then click on the filter button. You’ll then see a list of registrants for your event. You can then see the status for an attendee next to their name and you can click on the X to change it to a checkmark. There is also help information on various screens for Event Espresso. You can find them by clicking on the Help tab in the top right area of an Event Espresso screen. — |

Hi Vauna, There is also some documentation for the built in attendee Check-in feature here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/registrations-ver-4-0/#40_checkins We’re also working on finishing up a paper tickets + barcode scanner system that will be released as two new add-ons that can be used for checking in attendees. It’s currently going through beta testing. There is documentation for the barcode scanner here: |
