My client does not need to see 3/4 of the information on the Event Espresso page. Instead I’d like to replicate what’s needed using Advanced Custom Fields. How do I turn off the edit for espresso_event and espresso_venue?

Also a listing of the fields would be nice, but I can find them by looking in post_meta.

Thanks!

Hi Taryn,

We do not recommend replicating Event Espresso’s editor using Advanced Custom Fields, partly because you’ll find that the values for the fields there are not stored in post_meta. Instead, you can selectively remove the unnecessary meta boxes by using the sample code from this snippet in our code library. Please use caution with this because some of the data that the boxes handle is required to save events and for event registration to function correctly.
