Group Registration payment

I have allowed multiple registrations for an event, but it only allows payment for 1 member – there is no option to pay for more than one, and on the payment overview page it only says payment due for 1 ticket. Did I miss a check box somewhere? Please help.

I also noticed that other registrants in group registration do not receive a confirmation email as well.

Hello Andrea,

Normally if you set the Allow Group registrations, even if you forget to add a number the system will default to 5.

Do the events allow you to choose more than one attendee?

Do you have a link to an event on your site, to look at please?

@john Lai – that is a separate issue, please create a new thread and we can look into it. Thanks.

Thanks Dean but the problem is that it only charges for 1 person and the drop down button that allows people to choose more than one (number of tickets) disappeared. It gives the option to add extra registrants details, (which I did on the test) but then it does not count the extras in the payment process.

I have changed it so the drop down box is there (and it counts it in payment process) and I just added an extra question for them to add the additional members names etc.

here is a link to the event http://www.womenwithaltitude.com.au/espresso_event/hawkesbury-launch-event/

Hi,

Well the changing from the dropdown to the questions is the correct process, as with the dropwdown attendee details are not captured.

What concerns me is the fact that they additional attendees are not counted in the payment.

I would like to create a test event on your site so I can see what the problem is, if that is ok?

If so, please send them via https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

NOTE: login details need to be Admin level.

It is counting the registrations the way I have set it up now, but it wasn’t when I activated   Additional Attendee Registration info –  thats when the problem started. that’s when the drop down counter disappeared.

Hi,

I created a test event and also changed the Hawkesbury event to get additional attendee data (Personal Info) and I had no problems in attendees being added nor the main issue of the extra attendees in the payment process. When going to paypal all attendees were accounted for and the payment amount was correct.

I tested this both logged in and logged out (via an incognito window) and both were just fine.

To reclarify the drop down will always disappear when you are asking for more info from the attendees, instead of that the Add more attendees link will appear.

Can you try clearing your browser cache and try again please and let me know the outcome.

Note I have deleted the test event and attendees i created.

Hi Dean

That was quick. Thanks – it worked, but it didn’t on the weekend.

Yes I am aware of the admin issue – I will change it thanks.

Hi,

OK, well not sure why it didnt work over the weekend, but so long as it is working now all is good. Keep an eye on it and if it causes an issue again, please note your process and let us know, that way we can try and work out the issue.

Re: admin, no problem just thought I’d let you know about it.

I just found another problem – I registered for an event and paid via paypal, but used a different email to log into paypal – but it has not recognised my payment.  Is there a way around this?

Hi,

It shouldn’t matter which email is used, I regularly use a test account with different emails (one for the sign up and one for paying at paypal) and it marks the attendee as complete.

I had a quick look at the attendees on your site and the ones marked as incomplete have not actually paid, did you actually complete the payments with PayPal?

Hi,

I changed the paypal details to my test credentials (it is now back to the correct details) and ran a quick test transaction, it went through fine, and marked as complete.

In your PayPal settings, have you turned on the IPN? https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-set-up-paypal-ipn/

Thanks again,

okay I just did the same – set up a test and went through paypal and it worked, but it didn’t take me back to the website – just stayed at Paypal?

Hi,

Well good that it now works to complete the payment. Not sure why it is sticking at PayPal though, have you made sure autoreturn is on in your PayPal account settings? https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/mer/express_return_summary-outside
