I just downloaded and installed EE to try it out. Unfortunatly I am not able to change general settings (Countray, Currency and so on) because the page does’t get displayed. The page looks like this. |

Hi, Could you try enabling WP DEBUG to see if any errors come up? You could also try increasing your sites PHP memory limit: https://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP Please let me know if any errors appear and I can help you work through them. |

Thanks for you quick answer, Dean. |

Hi Alex, that blank page looks like a conflict with another plugin. Try temporarily deactivating all plugins and then reactivating Event Espresso. Then retest the page to see if anything appears. If it does, then restore your site a few plugins at a time and then retest again. These steps will help you pinpoint the source of the conflict. — |

Hi Lorenzo, |
Hi Alex, do you see the same thing when WordPress is on defaults? Any default WordPress theme — |

Hi Lorenzo, |
|
Hi Alex, What version of EE did you download and where from please? It might be worth trying to redownload it, as it may be a corrupt file, especially if upping the memory and using it on a default set up do not fix it. There should be no reason for it not to work on a basic WP site. |
With all other plugins de-activated, on a default theme and WP_DEBUG enabled, do you still get the exact same error messages posted above? |

Hi, Event Espresso told me I (my provider) was running PHP 5.3. That’s why my last attempt was to update PHP. Now PHP 5.6 is running but the EE-message and everything else stays the the same. I installed and uninstalled EE several times now. Is it possible there are some old files left somewhere? Meanwhile I also tried EE3. It seems to be running without errors. That might be the solution for my needs (it’s getting urgent) but not the solution for the discribed problem. So if you have any idea? Cheers |
Hi Alex, I understand that its not working on a default theme either. Could you create and share a temporary login via this link? https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ — |
|
|
Hi Lorenzo, how did you do that? I still can’t open the general settings page neither in Mozilla (my default), nor Chrome, nor Safari. |
Hi, I used the login that you provided and then browsed through the menus. Are you using a restricted login? — |
|
|
Hi, no I am logged in with admin rights. Just now I noticed that I have the same problems with the Akismet plugin. |
Hi Alex, I asked a team member to test this out but the login is no longer active. Do you have another computer that you can test on? — |
