Hello

I have browsed all settings, I also googled for it but I was not able to find the option to switch from am/pm to military time (24h). WordPress is set to Paris timezone and 24h time so this thread is not useful :

https://eventespresso.com/topic/from-ampm-to-24-hours/

Could you tell me how to do ?

Thank you

Hi there,

Can you let us know specifically what you’re looking to set to military time? The reason I ask is because the event times display in 24h format if that’s how the WP settings are set. You can see an example here: https://josh.eventespresso.com/

Time is currently displayed as am/pm, I want to use 24h format. My wordpress is set to french so wordpress timezone is set to Paris time, time is 24h format but when I set an event time it is am/pm on wp-admin and front-end.

Hi there,

Where on your site is not outputting the time format correctly?

You mentioned in another thread that you can not link to the site, can you add a screenshot that shows where you want to change?

EE should use the date and time format set within your WP General settings almost all of the output, the exception being the datepickers.

Time is displayed AM/PM everywhere. You can check it out on this pic :

I didn’t switch the interface to english to show you the exact configuration.

Thank you

Can you try deactivating all other plugins on the site? There may be a plugin that’s resetting the time format option somewhere. A screenshot of the event page where it’s showing the incorrect time format will also be helpful.

I have just installed ACF in order to add fiels easilly. I deactivated it and I still encounter the problem. There is a screenshot of the event page on my previous attachement, under the “front end” title.

I tested this on a test site to confirm, setting the language to French and the Date/Time formats to match yours, this is how it looks for me:

What version number of Event Espresso are you using? (the full version number)

If you edit an event, don’t make any changes and just save, then view the event again is the format still incorrect?

My version is 1.0.5.p. I see times in 24h format on the event list but not into the edition page and on the front end.

My version is 1.0.5.p.

That’s likely the Braintree add-on, can you check the version of Event Espresso you are using please.

I see times in 24h format on the event list but not into the edition page and on the front end.

Which event list?

The admin datepicker fields are different and need a different code change but we need to find out why your front end is not updating to display the correct format.

I’m so dumb, here is my version of EE : 4.9.41.p

Now the 24h format is used everywhere except on the event edition page. By “event list” I ment the page where events are listed / the event detail page on the front end.

Thank you

Tony mentioned a code change for changing the format in the event editor, and there’s another topic that has an example:

OK, it works now thank you. Maybe this could be fixed in future releases.

Which could be fixed in a future release? The datepicker date/time formats not using the site settings?

If so that currently intentional as the date pickers don’t support all of the available formats you can use within the site, so we have filters that allow you to change the format independently.
