I am evaluating EE so I installed Decaf, created an event, and tried to register myself. When I select register it goes directly to “Thank you so much. Your ticket selections have been received for consideration.” I have tried multiple ways, in different incognito browsers, always the same.
Per the other forum posts, there is no “Disable Web Bot Trap” on the Registration Form in admin, at least for Decaf.
What now?
If I can get Decaf to do what I want, we’ll likely upgrade to Everything, however, without proof we can prototype our needs, we’ll have to keep searching.

Hi there,
If you go to Event Espresso -> Events -> Default Settings
You’ll find the option for “Default Registration Status”, it sounds like that it currently set to ‘Not Approved’.
Change that to Pending Payment.
No navigate back to edit your event again and click update.
Now when you register onto the event it should allow the registration to go through.

It is set to “Pending Payment”. I changed it to “Approved”, created a new event and still the same thing.
I changed it back to Pending Payment and got “The “Default Event Settings” has been successfully updated.” Went back end edited each event. Clicked “Update” and got “Event updated. View Event”
Still same thing…

Running WP 4.4.2 with the EEDecaf installed via Plugins -> Add New -> Install Now.

Your server might not allow the bot trap encryption to work, which will cause the ticket selections have been received for consideration message to appear. You can grab a copy of Event Espresso 4 caffeinated from the github repository. You’ll remove decaf, then install caffeinated and you’ll be able to turn off the bot trap encryption feature.
