URL of registration page: http://pawsintraining.com/new/register-pet-training-class/ Event Espresso version 3.1.36.5.P Installed plugins I’m trying to get the plugin set-up and I’ve run into a small issue.. the required fields are not being required. I’m running jquery 1.11, so I’m not sure the issue. Thanks, Jake |
Hi, could you ensure that no-cache rules are setup for your caching plugin: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/setup-nocache-exclusion-rules-event-espresso/ — |

The caching plugin is not enabled. |

I have also since installed the recurring events dropdown plugin. I replaced the tag on the register page with the dropdown code, but it seems to have killed all functionality to register. |
The Espresso Events shortcode cannot be replaced by another shortcode but lets take a look at the original issue first. Does the issue continue if only Event Espresso is running? — |

Ah.. I see, I need to create a separate page to do the dropdown view for registration… Okay.. so the only issues I have with installation are: Form validation does not seem to be working I have tried disabling all other plugins, but the issue persists. Thanks, Jake |
Hi, It should be blocking registration from continuing. Here is a test event to see how it works: http://testdrive.eventespresso.com/?ee=29740 I did not see an error through Chrome developer Tools but one possibility could be the theme. Could you install the Theme Test Drive plugin and then activate a default theme like Twenty Fourteen or Twenty Twelve? Then could you re-test by clicking on the submit button? The theme test drive plugin will allow you to view the site on a specific theme while displaying your original theme to your website visitors. — |

Hi Lorenzo, Thanks for all the help.. I think including wp footer in the template is kind of important.. doh! That fixed the issue with the javascript loading for validation, dropdown, etc.. 🙂 The only other issues were the date format wouldn’t use the default wordpress format. I found a fix on another forum, and edited the template file to grab the wp option. Additionally, it wasn’t pulling the event title to display on the page, so I just commented it out.. you can see in the source here – http://pawsintraining.com/new/register-pet-training-class/ – that no data was populating for the venue, even though it is defined for the event. -Jake |
Hi Jake, It turns out that the recurring drop down template uses the Venue Manager to display the Venue Name. It doesn’t display the address info if it’s filled out in the event editor. You can follow this guide to use the Venue Manager: |
