‘Nothing in your Event Queue’ is displayed when EE can not find any events assigned to your session, there are many different reasons this can happen however the most common is caching so it’s the first place to check.
EE uses transients which are stored in wp_options to track the session, so yes if that table reports and error EE can’t use the transient and you get the same error 🙂
