WordPress version: 4.1.1

Events Table View Template (EE4.4.9+) version: 1.3.2.p

Hello,

I’m getting “Nothing in your Event Queue” message on all of my Registration Checkout pages all of a sudden. The checkout pages were working until yesterday. This applies to Firefox, Chrome, and Safari browser (unable to check with IE).

I have W3 Total Cache plugin installed, and the following pages are included in “Never cache the following pages”:

/events/
/registration-checkout/
/transactions/
/thank-you/
/registration-cancelled/

I changed the “events” part of the URL to “classes”. Do I have to add the “/classes/” to the “Never cache the following pages” list?

One example of my registration page is: http://cascadeconnections.org/classes/cprfaaed-may/

Last month, I posted the same problem here: https://eventespresso.com/topic/nothing-in-your-event-queue-9/

This was the development site, and at that time, I noticed that if I refresh the page when I see the “nothing in your Event Queue” message, I can proceed to the Registration Checkout page, so I set all caching to be disabled (W3 Total Cache), and the problem was solved. I reactivated the caching plugin, and everything was good. This time, it is not the case. All I know if the checkout pages will work if I deactivate the caching plugin. As soon as I turn it on, it doesn’t work.

Do you have any ideas of what might be causing this issue? I tried all kinds of setting with W3 Total Cache, and I can’t figure this out. Thank you very much for your time.

Yes you need to change this to whichever slug you use, in your case ‘/classes/’

If you go to Performance -> General Settings -> Debug.

Can you enable the checkmarks within that section and update the settings.

This will output comments to the cached pages allowing us to see the cached pages.

Thank you for your reply. I changed /events/ to /classes/. Debug mode is set, and I confirmed that the caching is disabled for the following pages:

/classes/
/registration-checkout/
/transactions/
/thank-you/
/registration-cancelled/

Unfortunately, I still see the “Nothing in your Event Queue” error. The only way to get this work is to turn off the W3 Total Cache, so I think it has to do with the plugin setting I have. If I reload the page when I see the “Nothing in your Event Queue” message, I still can’t go to the registration page.

When you reset the do not cache settings did you also clear the cache?

Are you using all of the caching options within W3?

Solved!

I cleared the cache after I reset the do not cache setting, but the problem still existed. I used Page Cache, Minify, and Browser Cache. No matter what I did, I couldn’t eliminate the “Nothing in your Event Queue” message, so I decided to do the following with W3 Total Cache plugin:

1. Disable all settings
2. Deactivate the plugin
3. Delete the plugin
4. Delete all plugin files from server via FTP
5. Delete the plugin related information from .htaccess file
6. Install plugin
7. Enable Page Cache, Minify, and Browser Cache settings
8. Added the following pages to “Never cache the following pages”:

/classes/
/registration-checkout/
/transactions/
/thank-you/
/registration-cancelled/

9. Cleared the cache
10. Check the payment pages

“Nothing in your Event Queue” message disappeared now, and I am able to register the classes with Firefox, Chrome, and Safari browsers (unable to check with IE).

Thank you very much for your time!

Glad you got it sorted, and thanks for posting your solution – caching programs can be hard to contend with!
