Hi,

Recently I have purchased security for my website gulfshoreopera.org and have a firewall in place. The problem is that when you try to purchase a ticket sometimes it takes you to the correct checkout page and SOMETIMES it gives me this error message:

Nothing in your Event Queue

You need to select at least one event before you can proceed with the registration process.

Event Registration and Ticketing Powered by Event Espresso

I am not too sure how event espresso and sucuri.net’s firewall are interacting with eachother, but I would greatly appreciate your help figuring this out. I shouldn’t have to cancel my firewall and leave my site unprotected just to get event espresso working properly. Please let me know what I should do!! Thank you,Nicki

Also, I’m using Event Espresso 4. I have these options with Sucuri.net:

ADVANCED SECURITY OPTIONS
Admin panel restricted to only Whitelisted IP addresses.
ON OFF
Additional Security Headers added to your site.
ON OFF
XMLRPC, Comments and Trackbacks blocked.
ON OFF
Stop unfiltered HTML from being sent to your site.
ON OFF
Stop upload of PHP or executable content.
ON OFF
Advanced evasion detection.
ON OFF
Enable Emergency DDoS protection.
ON OFF
Advanced Intrusion Detection System.
ON OFF
Block proxies and the top three attack countries (China, Russia and Turkey).
ON OFF

By turning any of those on or off might it help with this situation? I’m just trying to give you all the information possible as pretty much thier whole business doesn’t work if these tickets don’t work and right now this is making thier business look unreliable….

Hi, base64 is used by the ticket selector. Could you follow up with the web host to ensure that these aren’t being blocked via something like mod security?

Regarding the firewall, I would first check with the web host on base64. If that is not the issue then temporarily deactivate the firewall and re-test.

If registration then works, then try enabling each of the options one-by-one until it fails again.
