Reference Topic: https://eventespresso.com/topic/mobile-app-access-through-sso/

Same credentials do not work for an iPad.

How do I start to unwrap this issue?

Here is the resulting loged in screen on an iPad:
iPad screen result same login as iPhone
Here is the resulting logged in screen on an iPhone:
iPhone screen of the exact same login

So I am perplexed. Is there a new version of the app that works better in iPad or some additional URL code I need to exclude in the SSO exclusion URLs?

Hi,

Is there a new version of the app that works better in iPad or some additional URL code I need to exclude in the SSO exclusion URLs?

No to both.

May I ask what’s the URL you’ve input into the ipad app? Also, do both devices run the same version of iOS?

iPad 3 with iOS 9.3.5
iPhone 7 with iOS 12.4
Going to see about getting a newer OS in the iPad and recheck.

What is the lowest tested version of iOS?

I’ve tested with iOS 9.3.5 on an old iPad I keep around for testing old versions.

As far as I am aware, none of us keeps outdated devices so we don’t test on lower versions. I’m not an Apple user myself but I’ll confirm this with the other members of the team.

However, the app itself doesn’t change the requests sent based on the version of the device, so if the app runs, it shouldn’t matter what version you are using.

If you install the REST API log on the site and test with the iPad, can you see any errors on the requests saved to the log when you test the iPad?

Ah, I stand corrected 🙂

We are at the latest iOS for the iPad3.
I will try logging in first via our SSO and see if that has an effect on the app.
