I just noticed that the Twitter and Google+ buttons are showing, but not the Facebook button. I am running all current versions of the EE plugins. Thanks, |

Hi, I’m sorry about this, it is a bug we have just found, and it has been raised with the developer team to look into. |
Hi Dean, did you find a solution to this bug? I think, a lot of people would be happy about a working facebook-like-button integration on the event-details/event-registration page. Its not very tricky to realize this by a workaround, but it would be much better to provide a professional solution which we have already paid for … ๐ Thanks a lot & Kind regards |

Hi Frank, I have already upped the priority of the developer ticket to the highest I can, the developer due to look at it has not been in so will pick it up as soon as he is back on duty. I will send him a message as well. |
Just noticed this too on an event we created. Would love a fix! ๐ -Kristen |

@Kristen – thanks for letting us know. As mentioned the devs have a ticket on this and we will post an update to the add on as soon as we can get it fixed and tested. Bear with us on this. |
Any updates on this? If not, then suggestion for how to add this to events by another means? It’s been several weeks and I need to get this up and running. Thanks |
Hi, I have updated a fix for this, it just needs to be authorised and tested. We will release it as soon as we can. |
Much appreciation but how soon is “soon”? I need to have something up tomorrow. Thanks for any workaround suggestions if soon is not that soon. |
Soon may not be that soon. I can provide you the code to make it function but you will need to register an API with Facebook. https://gist.github.com/Apina/30ee474d2a340b55416c Not that this is untested code, so use at your own risk, though from what I can see it should work fine. |
Thanks! To be clear, what API would this be? Seems that there are several types. https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/apis/ |
Followed as instructed, replacing the code in “espresso-social.php”, lines 131 to 195, but still the same no-FB results. |
Hi, You can create an API key by going here and adding an app https://developers.facebook.com/apps IF that key doesnt make it work, then please post the full code to pastebin or similar service and I can take a look |
This is the full espresso-social.php code: http://pastebin.com/rdEhnMGt |
Hi, It looks like its the API key, as adding the one you are using into the code I have makes it not function as well. Did you obtain a key from the Apps section? |
This seems to work now. Problem was that you have to be a “user” to get the correct API, not as an admin of a page. Note that the Google plus button is smaller than the Twitter and FB ones. |
Adding myself in here so I can be notified when a fix is found. I need the FB button back too. Thanks, Michelle |
Hi mpurse, This is the fix that Dean came up with that can be added to the current social add-on: |
