Hi, we are considering Event Espresso for one of our clients. Maybe this question was asked before (I didn’t find it) but we need to know upfront whether or not it’s possible to export (Excel, CSV) attendees to an event. The client wants to use this export to generate nametags before the events take place. Also the client wants it integrated with MailChimp, is this than automatically coupled (and thus the export can be done from MailChimp) or is the subscription to MailChimp optional? Thanks for answering!

Hello, a registrations CSV report can be generated for each event in Event Espresso. This file could then be opened in Google Sheets, Apple Numbers, Microsoft Excel or a similar tool.
Our MailChimp integration (https://eventespresso.com/wiki/mailchimp-integration/#ee4installation) will transfer the information for a registrant to MailChimp during registration checkout. They’ll still need to opt-in unless you override that option so the Registrations CSV report would be more accurate since there may be registrants who decide that they do not want to join your mailing list.
Also, this integration is compatible with a free account at MailChimp.com. A paid account with MailChimp is not required.
