We’re in the process of building an event espresso driven site using the eWay payment gateway and noticing it doesn’t seem to be fully supported. We are only able to achieve the “shared payments” page redirect rather than the direct payments method.
Is there an option we’re simply missing to enable payments through the site directly via eWay or is it only partially supported at this stage? And if so, is there any schedule for a fully supported eWay payment gateway implementation?
Any thoughts or direction on how to resolve this greatly appreciated.

Hi Greg,
The eWay integration that was built only supports off-site payments on eWay’s servers. Currently there are not plans to update the eWay integration so that it has an option to do on-site payments. If you’re interested in helping sponsor eWay on-site integration, please see this info:

Hi Josh, thank you for the response. It’s a little disappointing to be asked to fund further development of the payment gateway. When we purchased Event Espresso the impression your website gave was that eWay was fully integrated. Offsite payment pages does not constitute full integration. I would recommend you update your website to correctly refer to the partial eWay support as in it’s current state the reference is misleading.
Based on this we need to now assess our options and if it’s still possible to proceed development using Event Espresso.
