We are having this same issue

Events aren’t disappearing but they are overlapping. Everything is updated, it happens in chrome and IE, much less in safari

With the shorter duration of the events on your site, you can avoid the overlapping by using the basicWeek view instead. i.e.
[ESPRESSO_CALENDAR cal_view=basicWeek]
