All of my events are gone from EE and my website. What happened? Are they backed up anywhere? Please help

Hi there,
All of your event data is stored within your site’s database, we don’t have any access to it and can’t keep backup’s of your data for that very reason. Part of the selling point for Event Espresso is that the data is yours, not ours, we don’t save/user/access any of your event/registration/etc data to our servers.
When you say the events have gone, can you not see them in Event Espresso -> Events?

they are not in events either. everything is blanked out to no dates and no registrations. why would this just reset? i’m freaking out. i changed nothing.

Hi,
You could check with your web host and see if they can check the access logs/error logs. We do not have any access to your website so we don’t know what happened. We also do not have the access that would allow us to make backups of your site’s database.
Generally speaking, the site owner is responsible for taking backups. If you haven’t been taking backups then you could ask your host, they may have a recent backup available.
