Hi Adrienne, I’ll look into this. It may be a simple solution because it turns out that Event Espresso creates an event archive automatically instead of an events page. As an aside, the Custom Templates Add-on is an Event Espresso 3-only add-on. It is not compatible with Event Espresso 4. |

Hey Josh, Thanks for taking a look. We had initially tried the default archive page but were having issues so we switched to using the shortcodes. The archives page shows up as a blank page with nothing on it. Thanks for the info on the custom templates. I was not aware of that. Let me know if you have any other questions. I really appreciate your help on this. Adrienne |

Hi Adrienne, I wanted to update you on the progress so far. I’ve asked a few of the developers on the team to help take a look because while I’m not able to reproduce this same issue on my test Multisite setup, we have a demo Multisite where we are seeing a simple issue. With that, I created a high priority ticket and they are also investigating. We will keep working on this and I will update this thread on what we find. |

Thanks for your continuous work on this! I have an additional question in regards to the Promotional Codes for tickets. As I understand it, that functionality is available in the EE3 version but not yet in the EE4 version. Do you know of a work-around that would be possible to add this functionality to EE4? Or do you have any other suggestions? Thanks! Adrienne |

Hi Adrienne, Promo codes are going to be added in Event Espresso 4 as its development progresses. The discount functionality that’s currently available can be set up by creating tickets that have a lower price and set those to go on sale during specific date ranges -or- set some tickets to a specific price and limit them by a quantity. |

Hi again, This page is now displaying an event list via the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode: http://pyramidresource.com/events/ As far as the http://pyramidresource.com/blog/events/ url not working, this is a bit of a mystery. I think it might be a conflict with there being an http://pyramidresource.com/blog/ page that’s set to use a Blog page template. I set up the same thing on my multisite install and the events archive continued to work nonetheless. We also found the cause of the breakage on our demo site which turned out to be a site that had an event that somehow managed to not have a datetime attached to a ticket, so the event list didn’t work until we assigned the datetime to a ticket. The issue on your site is a bit strange because the event archives page seems to work on the sub sites. For example it’s expected to see something like “Sorry, no content matched your criteria” on this page on one of the subsites: A few things we noticed on the site while we were troubleshooting: Some of the pages were loading up this message: http://awesomescreenshot.com/0822g5dj1d It may end up being a good idea to ask the host to not cache the Event Espresso pages if that’s possible. Caching can cause issues if the checkout pages are served as static files instead of dynamically. Also, and this is a total aside, the Broken link checker plugin can overwhelm your server with a massive amount of http requests. Some hosts ban it for that reason, and when I looked through the PHP error log there were a number of errors thrown that said “WordPress database error MySQL server has gone away for query SELECT links” when the broken link checker was running. Other issues aside, will it work okay for now that the event list is on the http://pyramidresource.com/events/ page? |
