Hi, That’s an indication that the dates are not saving or aren’t saved to the correct format. Are there any events that have dates shown there? |
no there isn’t. but when I open the events the dates show correctly. a few weeks ago we had to go to an older version of our website due to a virus and that is when they stopped showing those dates I believe. |
When you say you went back to an older version, what/how was that done? I’m guessing you reverted to a backup but with the above, where only some of the database tables restored? |
yes i had to revert to a backup. but i imported everything in that was new since the backup was made. and made sure all the settings were the same. |
One way to troubleshoot this would be install the Health Check plugin. The Health Check plugin is featured on the WordPress > Plugins > Add New > Featured page of your site. After Health Check is installed you go to WP → Dashboard → Heath Check → Troubleshooting. There you’ll Enable Troubleshooting Mode, then once that’s activated you’ll reactivate Event Espresso only via the Health Check’s Dashboard page. At that point, you go to edit an event, then save, then check the event list to see if the date for that event begins to show again. |
no it did not show up |
I checked the site, and the dates are also missing on the front end. For example for the event on Feb 19: https://slack-files.com/T02SY781D-FFYB2GA21-40f56821c6 Do you (or can you set up) a staging site for troubleshooting this? If not, maybe you can send a copy of a few tables from the current database (we only need the _esp_datetime, esp_ticket, and _post tables). You could send that to “support” at eventespresso.com and we can take a look to see if the database tables have the dates in the correct format. If the data is in the correct format, then my guess is there’s some code on your site that’s having the effect of preventing the dates from being displayed. |
is there anyway i can make an account for you guys to look into it? because on the calender the event shows up correctly |
We generally do not advise troubleshooting on a live site. If that’s your only option, we can take a look at the admin if you can complete the form on this secure page: |
Hi, We received the form, but I’m afraid the credentials you sent do not allow access. The password for the wp-admin is incorrect, and the FTP server URL also appears to be incorrect. If you can verify the credentials first, then send them, that will help avoid delays. |
okay let me try again |
Thanks for sending the correct information, I was able to log in. Here’s what I found: https://slack-files.com/T02SY781D-FG0Q7E5RR-62b47d1449 So the reason dates are not displaying on your site in some places is because dates require a format, and currently your site’s date and time formats are set to an empty string. You’ll need to set each of those options to use valid date & time formats, respectively. |
The above settings are found in WordPress > Settings > General. |
oh okay. yea we did that because we didn’t want the dates showing on the blogs. okay i guess i will have to see if there is another way to get rid of the dates on the blogs |
Some themes will provide an option to remove the display of dates, or the dates can be hidden with CSS. |
