Hi, If you’ve updated your site to WordPress 5.3, you will also need to update your Event Espresso plugin version to Event Espresso Version 3.1.37.15.P. That version has the fixes to the datetime components to make them compatible with WordPress 5.3. You go to your WordPress dashboard → Plugins, then click the link to update Event Espresso 3. |

That means your site hasn’t checked for updates recently enough. You can force it to check for updates right now by going to your site’s Event Espresso > General Settings page, then click the button to Save Options. |

Hi, May I ask what led up to the error? For example were you trying to update an event? |

It’s a strange error because I can’t replicate it. Is the event in question recurring event? If so, if you temporarily deactivate the recurring events plugin, then edit the event, does the event save as expected? |

We do not have access to your site. Is the event in question a recurring event? |

No. It will not erase anything.
OK so if you can deactivate the recurring events manager, then go to edit one of those events, does it allow you to update the event? |

You can reactivate the recurring event plugin and try editing again. |

For now you’ll need to deactivate the recurring events add-on, then you can go in and fix the times for the events that need fixing. |

We’ll need to be able to replicate the error before we can fix it. |

I am not going to go into your site. It’s not necessary because we can fix this without going into your site. We’ll have a fix for this issue in an upcoming release of EE3. It will released be soon. In the meantime, if you deactivate the Recurring events plugin, you’ll be able to go in and edit individual events as a workaround. |
|
Update: The fix for updating recurring events is included in the latest release of EE3. Event Espresso 3.1.37.16.P. It’s available to download from your account page. Or you can go to your site’s Plugins page and run the 1-click update there. |
