Setting up EE3 for my client’s WP (v3.9.1) and have come to find out there is no way to set up multi-day events that are non-consecutive. Is this a planned feature in EE4?

This client’s events occur in several different ways:
1. a series of weekly webinars
–attendees can pay for full series and attend all sessions
–attendees can pay for individual sessions within the series
–either way, attendees are limited, thus attendee count for each type of registration must be accounted for
2. 3-day seminars that span over two weeks
–attendees pay for all three days
–these live seminars are typically thursday, friday, then the next friday
–dates are determined by availability of venue, which fluctuates
3. a repeating series of monthly webinars
–6 webinars held once a month which is repeated twice in the year (series 1 & series 2)
–attendees pay for each series to attend

EE came highly recommended to this client who had purchased a license. Client wishes to utilize the Calendar as well as the Social aspects, which is why I was told to add in EE3. If EE4 will handle the scheduling, I will have to inform the client.

Please advise. Or perhaps I am doing/missing something?

Hi,

EE4 now has the calendar addon available to it, and because EE4 uses Custom Post Types, almost any social plugin will work with it.

EE4 also handles events split across various days/weeks, much better than EE3, as it has a unique datetime system, where tickets can be allocated to different ones.

If you want to test it, EE4 is available on your account page.
