Today suddenly in the evening, the registrations pages for my marathon event disappeared. It has 3 different events created for it, 5 km, 10km and 21km it slowly started not to work one by one then suddenly all of them are not working.

I checked the backend and all the events are there. But the event status cannot be edited. (its published at the moment, nothing changed).

The early bird registration time is supposed to end tomorrow Jan 10, at 11:55pm but now nothing appears for any registration at all.

Even when creating a new event, front end event registration page is not showing at all.

The website is working fine, the same we did not change anything. Only the event espresso registration has disappeared from the web. Did you guys do something to the system?

please help urgently i need the registration back on for last minute registration for early bird registrations. And i need to create standard prices events too once early bird period is done.

Multi language site: Thai – English
Espresso Version: ee 4.4.4.p
Wordpress Version: 4.0

Hi,

The first thing I would do is troubleshoot:

disable all other plugins except EE and see if that fixes things. If it does, then reactivate the plugins one by one, testing the events until the culprit is found.

If the issue persists with the plugins disabled (except EE) then please try a different theme such as the default twentytwelve theme. The Theme Test Drive plugin is a good plugin to test this if you do not want your visitors to see a different theme.

Hi Sarah,

We can not alter your server, Event Espresso (and all of the data for your events) runs on your site, so we can not make any changes to that without access to your site.

First start by ‘flushing’ your permalinks. Go to Settings -> Permalinks. Make no changes and just click save. Then check if your events load again?

If not create a new page (call it anything, ‘Event Test’ for example) and input only the shortcode [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] on that page, publish it and see if your events load there, post the link here so we can view this too.

Thank you for the prompt replies.

1. I have tried flushing permalinks, did not work, did not make changes. Default was set at Post Name.
2. I created a new page and in put shortcode, and it does not show anything. http://bitec-halfmarathon.com/event-test/
3. I tried turning all plug in off, nothing worked.
4. Not sure if its worth mentioning, but we have SEO all in One Pack plug in (not the latest version). But i tried turning it off, the event still wont come back to showing.

The event pages cannot be edited at all even the new ones just created.

We have not updated any plug ins or make changes. What could be the possible reason for this to happen…

What do we have to look at for the hosting system to see if there are problems within them?

Thank you so much!

Have you tried one of the default themes such as TwentyFourteen?

You can do this without altering the theme your visitors see using a plugin such as Theme Test Drive

Also I would recommend updaing to the latest version of EE4, which currently is 4.4.8

Thank you I will try that tomorrow. Not sure if it will work because the site has been working fine for over two months then suddenly this happens.

You could contact your host to see if they have made any changes/updates to your server recently and if so ask them to investigate.

If nothing at all have changed on the site, then there should be no reason for this to happen.

Have you not recently updated any plugins? The sites theme? Anything?

The event pages cannot be edited at all even the new ones just created.

What happens when you try to edit the events?

We tried again and the problem occurs when the plug in WPML is on. But we are not using it (did not translate .po file) in the event espresso.. so it is rather weird how this occurs.

What do we do? Please advice.

Hi,

If you are not using the WPML plugin then the simplest option would be to deactivate and remove that plugin (it is best practice to disable and remove any plugins and themes not in use).

That being said I ran a test with WPML 3.1.6 (NOT the latest, I believe the most recent is 3.1.8) and didn’t have any issues. So it could be something that they have changed in a more recent version, unless your WPML is perhaps older?
