I am assisting a small charity in setting up online events management/registration and membership. This organisation charge a small fee for membership and this can then give members a discount on events they attend (people who are not members can also register for events, but with no discount.) In reading your feature list I see it is possible to set up members and memberhip discounts for events – is it also possible to charge for the membership with event espresso? If not does this mean an additional membership plugin that would work with yours? (Any recommendations?) Any help would be much appreciated as, from a financial perspective, making the right choice on a plugin here is very important. Thank you.

Hi,
You are correct, with the WP User Integration (Members) addon you can create discounted events for logged in members.
However, no, Event Espresso does not deal with registration or login. Pretty much any of the membership plugins out there should work fine with Event Espresso. We use S2Member ourselves, which offers a free version, but can be quite big and depending on the users a bit technical. There are others though such as Membersby Justin Tadlock and a whole host of others (http://chrislema.com/comparing-wordpress-membership-plugins/)
